Emergency vet bill for Mocha in Berlin
A rescue greyhound named Mocha needs emergency surgery - a $1,300 bill the family can't cover.
🇩🇪 Berlin, Germany2,040 views
Mocha is my rescue greyhound of nine years. On 2 September we rushed to Berlin Veterinary Centre with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $1,300.
They have stabilized Mocha, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Mocha is more than a pet - Mocha is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $100 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Berlin Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Mocha's recovery.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $650
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $410
• Medication and follow-up visits: $110
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $130
Thanks for being kind about this.
- Mia
Updates from Mia
Thank you all. We're at 21% now ($272). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the vet clinic and confirmed the amounts.
Update from Berlin: I met with the vet clinic and confirmed the amounts. We're at 12% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
