Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Pretoria
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Acacia Primary School that will serve 456 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $900.
It will serve about 456 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
