Nicholas needs my pickup repaired to get back to work in San Diego

Without my pickup Nicholas can't work; a $1,800 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 7 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,800. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,800 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $1,100 • Labor charges: $330 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $230 • Towing and inspection: $140 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Nicholas

        • Is transmission replacement (parts) the biggest cost or is there more coming?

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. transmission replacement (parts) comes first ($1,100) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
