Dignity in old age: caring for Ga-eun
Ga-eun, 95, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,400 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 95. After a stroke last July Ga-eun can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ga-eun desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Ga-eun worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $1,750
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $290
• Medication and prescriptions: $360
