Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Çankaya
Volunteers in Çankaya are raising $600 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Jacaranda community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 584 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $410
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Updates from Okan
Good news. Because of your gifts ($116 in total) I made the first payment toward materials. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
