Elin lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Gothenburg Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,500. Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Elin could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $6,500 goes: • powered wheelchair: $6,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $300 • Delivery and set-up: $200 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
