Let's build a free library and reading room together in Mumbai
Volunteers in Mumbai are raising $600 for a free library and reading room at the old Lotus bus depot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $110, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 332 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Permits and inspections: $50
