Let's build a community garden together in Palermo
A community-led a community garden at the old Cedar bus depot that will serve 249 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,900.
It will serve about 249 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $250
• Materials: $1,550
• Permits and inspections: $100
