I'm caring for my father, who's 75. After worsening Parkinson's disease Lawrence can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Lawrence desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Lawrence worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,550 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $3,350
• Medication and prescriptions: $740
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $230
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $230

Hang in there, Charlotte. Hope the doctors have good news. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
stay strong, Charlotte. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
