Back to business - Udara's comeback in Colombo
Udara lost a full set of tools to a long illness and repossession and needs $650 to reopen a bicycle repair shop and support the family.

For nine years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Colombo. In October, a long illness and repossession took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $360
• Initial stock: spare parts: $150
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
• Working capital for the first month: $55
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope it all works out. Hope the shop reopens soon. I hope January is when things finally get easier. Take care.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Udara.
It's all in the list in the story. replacing a full set of tools is the big one at $360, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Happy to explain more.
Hang in there, Udara. Hope you get there.
Best of luck, Udara. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
take care, Udara. Hope you make a strong comeback. My neighbor in Madrid donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Madrid.
Rooting for you. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Madina.
