The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless I pay $650. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $120 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through winter without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $650 goes: • Gas arrears: $390 • Reconnection and late fees: $105 • Down payment on a payment plan: $155 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Haruka. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.

    • sending strength. Your post was clear and honest. Put this on a community board in Leeds this morning. Take care
