Electricity shut-off notice: help Hakan pay $200
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Hakan needs $200 before September.

The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless I pay $200. I have never been late before July's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Hakan's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $200 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $120
• Reconnection and late fees: $45
• Down payment on a payment plan: $35

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Hakan.
Electricity arrears is $120 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Mekelle this morning.
Best of luck, Hakan. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Çankaya.
