Get Aurora back on the road: my taxi repair fund
Aurora drives for a living in Bristol, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 6 weeks.
🇬🇧 Bristol, England, United Kingdom996 views
I make my living with my taxi. 6 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,550. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $1,100
• Labor charges: $120
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $195
• Towing and inspection: $135
Thank you so much.

Good luck, Aurora. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Bronx donated after I showed her your page.
You're not alone, Aurora. Small businesses are the heart of Bristol. Hope you're open again soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Juazeiro do Norte
