Keep a roof over Natalia's head in León
After a sudden layoff, Natalia is 2 months behind on rent and has a termination letter from the landlord.

When the call centre closed in March, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,350.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $280
• Rent arrears (2 months): $1,050
• Late fees and court costs: $20
Every share and every dollar helps.

I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Abuja this morning
Wishing you the best, Natalia. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of León
You're not alone, Natalia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
