Keep a roof over Lucas's head in Gothenburg
A court summons for non-payment arrived last week. Lucas needs $3,350 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Gothenburg.

After a sudden layoff at the hotel, Lucas fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $3,350.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, the family must leave.
There are three school-aged children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Lucas has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,050
• Late fees and court costs: $200
• Utilities in arrears: $260
• First month of rent as a buffer: $840

Wishing you peace, Sofia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
Rooting for you, Sofia. I hope things turn around soon. Don't give up
