Sota needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,250.

Sota lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Yokohama Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,250.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Sota could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $250
• prosthetic leg: $1,850
• Fitting and training sessions: $150
