Archie is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 13 September we rushed to Nsukka Animal Hospital with pyometra. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $150.
They have stabilized Archie, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Archie is more than a pet - Archie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $40 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Nsukka Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $150 goes:
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $40
• Medication and follow-up visits: $15
• Emergency surgery: $95
