John needs emergency hernia repair at Reading Regional Medical Center and the family is $3,750 short of the hospital's estimate.

The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,700, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,750 short.
my son has been in and out of Reading Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,700 is more than we can find.
While we wait, John struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
