The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. Kai received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $650 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Kai called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $90 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Kai is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Kai's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
