Dhanalakshmi can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Dhanalakshmi regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐ฎ๐ณ Maharashtra, India1,151 views
Dhanalakshmi has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Dhanalakshmi can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Dhanalakshmi's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Good luck, Sneha. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Rome.
Take care, Sneha. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Wishing you peace. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
