I'm caring for me, who's 82. After a heart attack Fredrik can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Fredrik desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Fredrik worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $4,800 goes: • Part-time carer (eight months): $3,600 • Medication and prescriptions: $330 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $200 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $670 Thank you so much.
