Roofing help wanted: Adel's home in Giza
Could you spare a weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Giza?

I'm a disabled veteran living in Giza. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $450, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Kampala donated after I showed her your page.
Hang in there, Adel. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
