Riley is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at Fayetteville Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,450.
The registrar has said Riley can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Riley has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Riley would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Riley isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Exam and lab fees: $135
• Textbooks and materials: $215
