Dignity in old age: caring for Junaid
Junaid cannot afford the care He needs after a stroke last July; we are asking for $550.

I'm caring for my father, who's 94. After a stroke last July Junaid can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Junaid desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Junaid worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $550 goes:
β’ Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $35
β’ Part-time carer (four months): $420
β’ Medication and prescriptions: $95
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
