Independence for Hamisi: prosthetic leg
Help Hamisi get a prosthetic leg so He can go to school independently.
🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya1,142 views
I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Mombasa Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,050
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $25
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hang in there. Get well soon. Blessings
Wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update.
Stay strong, Hamisi. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
Keep going, Hamisi. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
