Natalie was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April. The oncology team at Bronx University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Natalie is 36, worked as a shop owner until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bronx University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Transport to Bronx University Hospital: $1,150
• Scans and lab work: $1,550
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $650
