Help me finish an agriculture degree at the Galle Institute of Technology - $700 to go
Prabha is one semester away from finishing an agriculture degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $700.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at the Galle Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $220
• Final term tuition: $390
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Textbooks and materials: $55
Thanks for being kind about this.

Keep going, Prabha. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Galle.
Any update on how things are going in Galle?

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Prabha
Sure. The biggest one is outstanding tuition balance, $220. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. God bless.
