Keep a roof over Theodoros's head in Thessaloniki
A termination letter arrived last week. Theodoros needs $1,700 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Thessaloniki.

Following a long illness in the family, Theodoros fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a termination letter was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $1,700.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, the family must leave.
There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Theodoros has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.

• Utilities in arrears: $80
• First month of rent as a buffer: $295

Rent arrears (4 months) is $1,250 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
