Help Mussa get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
An infantry veteran in Nairobi needs help with a vocational welding course and tools after leaving service with a traumatic brain injury.

I served eight years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $400.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $400 goes:
• Essential household items: $85
• Housing deposit and first month: $210
• Transport to appointments: $105
Thanks for being kind about this.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Mussa?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about essential household items, advice is welcome too. Ask me anything else.
Wishing you peace, Mussa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours.
