Help Carmela restart a neighborhood bakery in Makati after a fire in the building
Carmela has run a neighborhood bakery for three years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $550 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Makati. In July, a fire in the building took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $260
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Working capital for the first month: $130
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Jakarta Selatan but we're thinking of you. Take care.
good luck. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Wollongong!
Small businesses are the heart of Makati. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Manila
