Get Sanket back on the road: my ride-share car repair fund
Sanket drives for a living in Aurangabad, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 10 weeks.
🇮🇳 India1,456 views
I make my living with my ride-share car. 10 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $255. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $255 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $190
• Labor charges: $45
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $15
• Towing and inspection: $5
Every share and every dollar helps.

How is Sanket doing now?
Sending strength. Hope you get there. It's not much but it's yours.
is transmission replacement (parts) the biggest cost or is there more coming?
Transmission replacement (parts) is $190 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
Sending strength, Sanket. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up.
this could happen to any of us. Please keep us posted.
Thinking of you and your family, Sanket. Your post was clear and honest. It's not much but it's yours
