Get Amparo back on the road: my pickup repair fund
Amparo's my pickup is Amparo's only source of income and needs a rear axle replacement costing $1,400.

I make my living with my pickup. 5 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.

• rear axle replacement (parts): $880
• Labor charges: $300
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $150
• Towing and inspection: $70

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Amparo.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rear axle replacement (parts) comes first ($880) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
