After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Onitsha, and the lease starts on Wednesday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Greetings from Istanbul.
Stay strong, Kayode. This could happen to any of us. God bless.
hope this works out for you. Love from Bengaluru.
Wishing you peace, Kayode. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. After 8 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Jakarta.
Hang in there, Kayode. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps.
