A craniotomy for Ben: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled a craniotomy in May is out of reach without help covering $5,950 of the cost.

Ben was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in February. The surgeon at Munich Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $5,950 short.
my husband has been in and out of Munich Orthopedic Institute since February. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ben struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Ben won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.

Surgeon and anesthesia fees is $2,700 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
