Dung was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at the Da Nang Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Dung is 38, worked as a shop owner until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Da Nang Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $400 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $120 • Scans and lab work: $170 • Transport to the Da Nang Oncology Institute: $110 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Keep going, Loan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Kochi.

    • Best of luck, Loan. Get well soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too

      • Take care. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
