A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Anaheim
Volunteers in Anaheim are raising $3,900 for a covered market stall space at the old Harmony bus depot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Harmony bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,900.
It will serve about 444 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Materials: $2,900
• Permits and inspections: $330
• Safety equipment and signage: $230
• Tools hire and delivery: $440
