Help me finish a nursing degree at Kasarani State College - $250 to go
John has worked and saved for five years to study a nursing degree; a $250 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Kasarani State College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a delivery rider to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $250.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $250 goes:
• Final term tuition: $170
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Textbooks and materials: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope it all works out. Your post was clear and honest. Sent it to 30 people at work. Thinking of Kasarani.
I hope things turn around soon. After 23 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Aurora.
