I coordinate donations at Jacaranda Women's Shelter in Sheffield. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Sheffield, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Jacaranda Women's Shelter on Monday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Jacaranda Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Sending love. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Duque de Caxias.

    • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Sheffield.

      • Wishing you peace, Eliana. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Córdoba but we're thinking of you.
