Independence for Uche: adapted tricycle
Help Uche get an adapted tricycle so She can speak with the people around her.
🇳🇬 Nigeria591 views
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at Port Harcourt General Hospital has assessed me and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• Fitting and training sessions: $35

Stay strong, Uche. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Wishing you peace, Uche. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Badagry this morning. Take care.
thanks for sharing this. Hope you get there. All the best
