Companionship wanted: Pandu's birdwatching and a cup of tea
Pandu lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Pandu, who's 89. Pandu lives alone in Bandung, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Pandu loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

sending good thoughts, Dwi. Hope the doctors have good news.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Bronx
Stay strong. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Bandung.
Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
hope this works out for you. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Saket!
rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. After 24 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Hope it all works out, Dwi. Shared this with my family.
