Start-up fund for Ezekiel: reopening a flower stall after a fire in the building
A flower stall in Chicago needs help replacing display cabinets and a cooler after a fire in the building.
🇺🇸 Chicago, Illinois, United States1,245 views
For nine years I have run a flower stall in Chicago. In August, a fire in the building took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $1,300
• Initial stock: seasonal flowers: $510
• Shop repairs and licensing: $690
• Working capital for the first month: $250
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hang in there, Ezekiel. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Chicago
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My husband and I read this together
Wishing you peace, Ezekiel. Hope the shop reopens soon. Don't give up.
