A playground for the Cedar vacant lot: help our neighbors in Caloocan
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $500 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 267 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $370
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
