Companionship wanted: Marwan's gardening and a cup of tea
Marwan lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Marwan, who's 84. Marwan lives alone in Jeddah, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives 376 kilometers away.
Marwan loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Jeddah
stay strong, Rahma. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. It's not much but it's yours. All the best
thinking of you, Rahma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Hope things get better soon, Rahma. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update.
