Elena, my sister, passed away on 16 October after a short illness. She was 67 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $600 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 24 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Elena to have a dignified farewell.

The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Transport of the deceased: $35
