Start-up fund for Amanda: reopening a small grocery stall after floodwater
Amanda has run a small grocery stall for six years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $800 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a small grocery stall in São Paulo. In September, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $480
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $170
• Shop repairs and licensing: $80
• Working capital for the first month: $70
Every share and every dollar helps.

You're not alone, Amanda. Hope this works out for you. Blessings.
this could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Tema
is there anything that isn't money that would help Amanda?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about replacing a cold-storage unit, advice is welcome too. Fair thing to want to know.
Hope it all works out. This could happen to any of us. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
You're not alone. Hope you make a strong comeback. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
how is Amanda doing now?
Hang in there, Amanda. Hope the shop reopens soon. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family, Amanda. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Lille but we're thinking of you. Thinking of São Paulo.
Thinking of you, Amanda. Shared it with a few friends. Take care.

Take care. Hope this works out for you. Love from Cologne!
Best of luck, Amanda. Shared this with my family. Sent it to 12 people at work. Greetings from Munich.
Keep going, Amanda. Small businesses are the heart of São Paulo. Hope you're open again soon. After 15 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
