Companionship wanted: Kimberly's birdwatching and a cup of tea
Looking for a friendly person in Mandeville to visit Kimberly once a week.
🇯🇲 Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica648 views
I'm writing for my neighbor Kimberly, who's 74. Kimberly lives alone in Mandeville, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Kimberly loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thanks for being kind about this.

stay strong. Hope this works out for you. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
Best of luck, Jasmine. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 29 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Hope things get better soon, Jasmine. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier!
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Abuja
Wishing Kimberly a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Thinking of you and your family. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
Hang in there, Jasmine. Looking forward to the next update. It's not much but it's yours.
Hope the doctors have good news. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Mansoura.
This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best
Hope you get there. My neighbor in Kano donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
