Companionship wanted: Kalpana's birdwatching and a cup of tea

I'm writing for my neighbor Kalpana, who's 74. Kalpana lives alone in Kathmandu, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Kalpana loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
