Care for Oisin, 74: help cover a carer and medication in Dublin
Oisin can't afford the care He needs after a diagnosis of dementia; we're asking for $1,750.
🇮🇪 Dublin, Leinster, Ireland667 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 74. After a diagnosis of dementia Oisin can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Oisin desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Oisin worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $350
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $530
• Medication and prescriptions: $870
Thank you for reading my story.

Good luck. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Gujranwala.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Oisin?
Thank you. If you're in Dublin I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out
rooting for you, Fergal. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Nashik donated after I showed her your page.
