Don't let Shira's family go through the rainy season without electricity
Shira is behind on electricity bills after an unexpected car repair and needs $650 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. Shira received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $650 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Shira called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $155 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Shira is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Shira's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

• Down payment on a payment plan: $135
