A first-generation student, Amparo needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in social work.

Amparo is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Bakersfield University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,200.
The registrar has said Amparo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Amparo has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Amparo would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Amparo isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
